Our Dream

We envision a fully operational interactive museum attraction in central Florida for families to visit and learn about the history, collections, and brands that made the diecast collectibles industry what it is today.

Our Mission

The Mission of the Children’s Charity Diecast Museum and Foundation, a 501 3(c) not for profit, is to provide sustainable funding for children’s charities selected by the Board of Directors through the operation of an income producing, tourism-focused family friendly destination including museum, store and related monetization elements targeted at families with children as well as adult collectors.

Our Story

The idea to provide a sustainable funding source came from our Founder, Steve Tarte, who is involved in the international charity, HOPE Worldwide. HOPE supports ARCO IRIS, a free hospital in La Paz Bolivia that serves a parentless population of over 80,000 children.

Steve is a successful American entrepreneur and has collected Matchbox vehicles as a personal hobby for over 40 years. In December 2020, he purchased a massive museum quality collection and over Christmas flew to Pittsburg with his youngest son to rent a U-Haul and drive back to Florida with 15,000 extremely rare matchbox vehicles and toys.

Talking with his wife and son during this two day drive the idea was hatched to scale his ability to help more childrens’ charities by leveraging his long term hobby and recently acquired museum-quality collection. Over the next few months, he assembled additional collections and a board of directors including other experienced entrepreneurs who shared not only his passion for diecast collecting but also his experience designing and funding successful charitable initiatives around the globe.

The Children’s Charity Diecast Museum and Foundation was now ready to launch, with a world class collection as well as an experienced team of business and collecting experts dedicated to the Organization’s central mission and charitable focus.
